![]() HunstantonHunstanton is one of the few east coast towns to enjoy beautiful sunsets over the sea and this is why it is also known as Sunny Hunny. There is plenty to keep everyone occupied in Hunstanton, with the two beautiful sandy beaches of Old Hunstanton and Hunstanton itself, amusement arcades, sealife centre, cricket pitch, bowls green, fair, small theatre/cinema, shops, plenty of fish and chips and cafes plus lots more. Hunstanton pier which was built in 1870, was sadly destroyed in 1978 during the floods and has never been rebuilt. There is a caravan site in Hunstanton with a small land train which runs in the summer from the site, through the town centre, along the cliffs and to the beach at Old Hunstanton. Those who enjoy walking can park on the cliff-top car park and walk along the grassy cliff-tops to the promenade in Hunstanton which goes right through to Heacham. How to get to Hunstanton from Castle AcreHead towards the B1153 and follow this road to the B1145 (left turn) continue on the B1145 towards King's Lynn. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A149 and follow this road all the way throught to Hunstanton, following sign posts.
